"You're not smiling?! No way!" (And this is a rare occasion.)

Eep, I can't sleep! Believe me, I've tried; my efforts ended completely in vain. I drifted off for about fifteen minutes, tossed, turned, awoke to find myself feeling sticky and hot. I'm not too fond of "stickysleep" as I like to call it. You know, stickysleep (the sleep you wake up from sweaty, hair sticking to your face, blankets tossed to the ground because you've somehow subconsciously kicked them off)? The weather was 98 degrees today (a record high) and the nights as of late have been just as hot! Hot weather doesn't belong here! Seriously, thumbs down!

I finally saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Melody and I were so excited, we were squirming in our seats as the opening credits flashed. As anticipated, the movie was delectable and I wouldn't mind seeing it another time, that's for certain. Johnny Depp was a quirky (hilarious, and eerily sexy) Willy Wonka, and for some odd reason, I didn't see him as Michael Jacksonesque at all! The oompas knew how to get d-o-w-n (seriously, they were jammin' to the silly little songs they recited). And yes, the music was delightful! Now, I must must musttt see The Wedding Crashers for the sole reason of Vince Vaughn!

The remainder of my day was spent: writing essay upon essay for scholarships (I'm not quite done yet!), reading lots of Ernest Hemingway until my eyelids got heavy and I eventually fell asleep, and oh, I'm an official intern for this fabulous urban-based magazine, but I'm keeping it on the hush hush for now. I start writing articles next month! :D

Oh, and if you didn't see my vacation pictures in the previous entry, take a look! I'm going to attempt to sleep (again) now!

Cute pictures!
Yeah it was really hot a few nights ago, i kept waking up like every half hour. Luckily its getting windy here so its not as hot.
I really want to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!!! Some people said it was scary though. Its not is it?

actually, it is kindof dark as opposed to the original (Willy Wonka especially, haha). the original's so bubbly and fun! it's so modernized and oh, I loved it though! Tim Burton is a fabulous director, so if you liked his other movies, you'll love this one. have you seen that new one by him coming out?

I stilll can't sleep! what time is it there?

I woke up with my hair stuck to the side of my face after my nap this afternoon. Going to sleep at 6am and waking up at 7:30am for drivers ed puts a toll on a little girl!

stickysleep is the worst! Especially when it's the heat that has made you pass out in the first place and you've forgotten to remove your makeup :/

I'm having trouble sleeping too, and was last night. I sleep for a few hours and I can wake myself up and feel rested. It's odd. I guess my body is preparing itself for college in August.

I did see your pictures from vacation and I'm not sure if I commented, but just in case I didn't, I want you to know that they looked SO fun and that you are so beautiful! And what a cute boy (the one who was with you)!

Good luck sleeping! I bet the essay had something to do with it. :]

i haven't seen that movie yet and i really want to but i'm waiting for my husband to get back ugh!

i saw the behind the scenes though and i love how they just duplicated that one dude to be all of the oompa loompas haha

David Bowie is the man!!!

Well, I thought JD's mannerisms were that of MJ....some people saw it...and I guess others didn't. It was a great movie, nonetheless.

I hate nights like that I had one of those lastnight up and 3 am that sucks.. I wanted to see that movie but I have no $$$ guess I'll be waiting until it comes out on DVD :\ Good luck with writing that essay. BTW I added you, and my name is Mickey :).

I have an Olympus Camedia D-520 7x zoom, but it's soo old!
(so I bet you could get one for real cheap!)
I'm thinking of buying a new one. a Nikon or Canon!

I'ms o glad you loved the new willy wonka! I loved violet in it, sucha bitch! LOVES IT! But in the original i loved Ms. Salt, "dont care HOW i want it NOW!" she kept it real! hahaha! But in the new one Veruca was just...i don't know not as bratty i think. I also loved Violet's mom, "Keep your eye on the prize, Violet." so me when i'm parent.

forreal charlie was real fun.
the snotty girl with the gum was my fave hahahha.
& i thought he sounded/looked semi-MJish(except the fact that willy actually hates kids).
johnny played his character well tho. he could play anybody lmao.
& i def have to see Pirates of the Carribean 2 when it comes out, b/c of johnny wooooo!
